Hello, I will sell software and some other things on my site but i have some questions about accepting cards. First of all, I am from Turkey and I don't want to use ones like Paypal, Moneybookers or google chechkout etc. I want to process payments transparent to user. I think I will process about $1000 a month. I don't have a merchant account or a registered company. But we can establish a international company. So what can I do? I visited almost all of the processors but I can't make a decision. Thanks in advance.
http://www.plimus.com , it worked great for me, you may find it hard for the beginning, I give you tips to save you time...
thanks very much for the reply but this is not exactly what i looking for. i want to process payments invisible to user. thank you, anyway. please write your suggestions
If you want it totally transparent then you will most inevitably need to get a merchant account and your own credit card payment gateway. All 3rd party payment processor would in one way or other announce themselves. However that is not a bad thing because people can trust their reputation since they are established and people may not give out credit card details to people they have never heard of.
I would say it depends very much on which options the payment gateway that the MSP or ISO offer you has. Most support some API where you are able to integrate through some SOAP or XML interface which then lets the card holder key in the information on your website. However there might be requirements that will stop you from using this type of interfaces, like PCI compliancy. For now, I would rather go for some Payment Page hostet on the Gateway server (if the gateway is PCI compliant) then go for the transparancy. As already mentioned then card holder won't enter their card data on some unknown website.
Well, first of all thanks everyone for comments. Let's say I have a UK company, how can i get a internet merchant account without contacting directly a bank? Because I'm located in Turkey. My web site has to be online for that ? Thanks
Lol, if you are legit then why not tell your secretary to go to bank herself and ask for the required documents for Merchant Account? Your so funny.
whatever service you go for just remember credit card payment can cause pain too... and there are many peoples who get there credit card stolen everyday... so if someone use a stolen one then you might lose the money...
There are companies you can get a merchant account through without dealing directly with a bank. I'm curious why you need to this for software though? A traditional third party payment processor like Plimus which was mentioned above should be fine. Why is a transparent sign up page so important? If the processor has larger recognition than your company it should actually help with conversion rates, people will be more willing to enter their cc info.
