Had a ratch through the threads here, and am trying to get a good feel for the right price for paid links. Obviously there are many factors such as PR, number of backlinks, number of pages on the site, traffic, which pages the link goes on (homepage or all pages), blog or regular website, comment or link or post, and probably some others What do you think the 3 most important factors are in determining price. ...and lets say an average website in an ordinary sector with a PR of 3 , what price range per month would you expect a link to be
Thanks for the PM's but - no I'm not looking to buy links at this time. So do others agree with seouniverse list?
He forgot relevancy. If the linking site has absolutely nothing to do with your niche, you should reconsider. Link positioning is also important - not in a footer or sidebar. Try to get links embedded in the content.
price of the link will be based on the value it provides. some sites will not have any traffic but will have high PR (mainly from PR backlinks). some other site will have PR2-PR3 but will have good amount of traffic and be relevant to your niche at the same time. so you are not only getting some traffic to your site, you are also getting a relevant link from that site. lot of things to consider. you are the one who would be making a judgment call as to whether the asking price will give you the right value for your money
