Help a new guy out

Hello, basically I am new to the site scene. I have 1 niche site up about 4 months now and have around 150 unique visitors a day with an average of 1200 pageviews/day. I know it is really small but I hope it will grow more.

I want to put ads on my site, at the moment, there are none. However, I have a few questions and I am hoping that people in DP will be able to help me.

    1. Is it even worth it to add ad on my site and most importantly will any advertisers will even approve? (I tried registering with Shark Ad until I read their TOS that the minimum unique visitors have to be 1000 per day)
    2. I host Asian Movies download linking. Now in theory, I am not breaking any copyright unless the movie is licence in the country that I am hosted. (I could be wrong but this is my understanding of it) I presume Adsense would ban me for this?
    3. What is the best ad company that I should go on? (I prefer not have have any pop-ups or malware of-course)
    4. From my understanding, I have to pay the ad in advance? How does this work?
    5. Any other advice?

    Thanks in advance.

I want to go with adsense right now but I am moving soon. When I tried registering with adsense a couple of weeks ago, its states that once I register I cannot change my mailing address so I didnt register. I had another look last week, it says the place that I *may* move to I need to closed the account and open it up again. Now I am not sure whether I am moving until the end of next month. So dont know whether I should even bother registering with adsense at the moment.

    What do you mean there?

You do not have to pay anyone to place ads on your site.

I read somewhere here that a guy purchased the advert for 80 and got 160 daily so his net profit is 80?

Either that guy didn't know what he was talking about or you misunderstood.

It should not cost you anything to place ads on your site. You should be paid for the amount of impressions you provide the ad network or the number of clicks.

I would start of with Google Adsense, if you meet their requirements, if not try out adbrite.

I would put ads on your site now, you might get some good earnings if you are operating in a good niche. I usually wait for my sites to get good traffic (500+ UV) then I place ads. But there is no problem with blending ads into your site from early on.

Try asking in the adsense help forums wether your site can use adsense. Let me know of the thread you started as I would my self be interested in the answer.

Just read the forums, try things ago and learn from your mistakes, if you make any. :)

Adsense could be the best.. But their criteria to get an account is not easy to reach.. You have to wait for 6 months..Right now I am using Adbrite with no profit.. Apart from adsense and Adbrite ,you can try out :

    bidvertiser
    gold-words
    yahoo publisher
    kontera
    clicksor
    valueclick
    partnerweekly
    fastclick
    kanoodle
    peakclick
    interclick
    compactads
    bidclix

AdSense would be the best choice for you. This is not true, AdSense does not take 6 months to approve you, it takes about 3-4 business days.

I just got approve with adsense, yay :)

I've got a couple of questions if anyone can help me.
1- I presume you cannot advertise adsense on a nulled forum? Will adsense be able to detect nulled forums?
2- I found a mod for IPB, advertising bot. Basically it will add the advert on the second post of every thread. Anyone knows whether this is ok?

I'm not exactly sure about the first question, but since you have an illegal forum, then yes AdSense may detect it and your account will be suspended.

About the second question, you can place ads using the advertising stuff, as long as you have no more than 3 ads.

1200 a day and you call it small?

Add cpa offers, adbrite ads if you can't get into adsense.

hey try text link ads . com

they will work with just about any sites and pays out pretty good too

there is also adbrite . com which I think is kind of ugly in terms of the actual ad, but if you have enough traffic that might work for you too

    have fun!

TextLinkAds, I wasn't very happy with them, btu you can give them a try and see how it works for you. AdBrite on the other hand isn't that good either.

Adsense will bring you $1/day with this amount of traffic.

Not necessary, if you have a bad site content and low click through rate, AdSense won't pay you much then.

What's all this bullshit about having to apply to adsense with a site older then 6 months? i know several people who have applied with completely new sites and gotten approved, they honestly dont care if it's new or old, all they care about is if it's a quality site or not

6 months to get an adsense acccount?????? I had no clue it was like that nowadays. I got mine set up almost as soon as i applied for it. I guess i better guard my account with the pitbulls to make sure i never lose it as i dont want to wait 6 months for another.
