I am a member of the MSP forums as well as here at DP. It came to my attention that a really good outstanding member of the MSP community has a family member that they are supporting that has cancer and is unable to do much else to earn income other than work online as a webmaster. Recently they had their YPN account terminated and will not be recieving ANY income for at least 60 days while they wait for adsense (Net 30 pay) and will have to deal with mounting medical bills, rent, ect. This has led me to start a donation drive for them and I would like to invite my fellow webmaster community to help out if you wish. This person is a very good honest webmaster and I am certian they would do the same for all of you if things where turned around. If you are interested in helping out even if its just $10 send me a PM and I will give you the URL where you can get full details
Post the URL in public and you will receive a lot more money and exposure. Be sure to include: Photographic proof of the actual cancer (document), a photo of the family member if possible, their background story etc. I'm sure you can make waves with the story on the Internet if you do it right - which would pay all the bills in full. Yes I think if you did actually provide alot more stuff to give this more of a personal heart breaking touch then people would actually care this almost seems like a good niche' but that's a bad thought :S
You mean like 'payformycancer.com', where cancer patients can post their stories, with verified proof, and generous donors can select their favorite sufferer to help out? Yeah, it's a bad thought, but good in a way I guess. Pete
Thats the only problem is I am not wanting the person to know I am doing this for them so it would be kind of difficult to ask them for all of that kind of info. Actually I have 3 out of 5 of the forums mods helping with this already.....Hoping to get the other 2 mods on board when they hop back on and see the thread tomorrow and the forum owner as well
