Hey, welcome to DP a blog is a great way to get started... i'd recommend going to a site like blogger.com and start right away... then learn the "ropes" as you go...
Welcome. It's probably best to start off with wordpress.com instead of blogger because IMHO It's a lot better. And then once you've aced blogging, you can head over to wordpress.org and start going off =]
