Hello to everyone - and to my writing career

I'm Zachary. 17 years old, been writing all of my life, but only recently ever thought of using my talent to make any profit. I'm starting a new phase, as in I want to look back on this point of my life and say "Yes, that's when it all changed for the better."

Jumping into the field of freelance writing, which is what really appeals to me, is going to require me to make a hell of a lot of drastic inner changes. I've got to get a lot stronger in a lot of ways, first and foremost being strong enough to kick my lazy habits, which I've battled with for all of my life. I also need to learn to stfu, not say so much, and get to the point, in writing, in my time usage, and in terms of my personality. Concision hasn't really ever been a strong suit that I've possessed. In general, I'm going to need to step things up if I expect to produce any content that's worthy of being paid for. It's going to require a lot of hard changes, but that doesn't scare me enough to stop me.

And, to all of you freelancers and writers out there who write any kind of content professionally, be damn proud of what you do! It is some scary shit! Marvel at it, because you have got some tough chops.

I chose to join this place because it seems like there's opportunity to learn here, and to make some money, and the most important thing of all, there's community. It seems like there's some caring and exciting people on Digital Point.
