Hello all, First of all thanks DP Clickbankers for the great posts and threads - have been trying to devour all i can for the past week as it's clear i have a lot to learn before the CB account i have just setup will show funds! Am totally fresh meat to this whole business so hearing that it is possible to develop a good revenue stream and reading what other people have done is priceless, especially step by step accounts like scottmweaver's, thanks man! Having got this far my next step is to work out which order to build my practical understanding in, and have this so far: > Choose a product based on what is mid-marketplace & that i know something about > Setup Landing page, so i have it ready when i start paying money out on ads > Blog etc for driving organic traffic? > Setup analytics & tracking > Advertise & test, test, test > Analyse & improve ratios Would be very happy with any input people had on this skeleton plan, but also keen to gauge what resources are most useful at this stage? I work in Sales so the marketing should come a little easier but have no coding, web design etc and dont know my html from my Java as well as having not the foggiest how the mechanics of Adwords works. Any help greatly appreciated! Cheers Ozy
Sounds pretty good to me, just be careful with adwords or you'll easily end up losing a lot of money. Read up on some books on adwords. I suggest Beating Adwords by Kyle and Carson - www.beatingadwords.com. It's in my opinion one of the best books out there. There's tons more on the subject, but it's a good starting point. Good luck, let us know how it goes.
Great input will check out the book at lunchtime Does anyone think that Googlenemesis may be a way to learn the ropes? It seems very expensive for hosted landing pages... what alternatives would people recommend, is there other software or are eBooks where i should be looking?
If you are willing to spend money on PPC, then Google Nemesis would be alright for you. Chris also gives away Adwords Miracle guide, which is in my opinion one of the best Adwords guides.
Interesting Have been trying to research at work as having chosen my niche i now need to workout how to create web-pages (i'm guessing it's easy =), but will look into the Kyle & Carson book tonight for sure Having read the thread with interest the main advantage i can see of GN for me would be getting up my review-style content more quickly so i can learn the business side in parallel with the techie skills. then i can recreate them as i become more proficient and already have the marketing intelligence I need to get up and running quickly. Will post in the development area of the forums as keen to understand better what i need to learn, how i can achieve that and what sort of time frame i may be looking at. At last my plan is firming up!
Yeah Google Nemesis is great for people that can't spell HTML right I might try using it with my bum marketing magic....
