Hi everyone. My name is Mary and I am new to this site obviously. I am a freelance writer and I found this site through the help of a friend who is helping me to make the most out of my writing potential. I have been a freelance writer for 2 years now. I still work the piddly jobs and am trying to learn how to really make money as a freelance writer. I have learned so much over the past few days. If you have any tips or advice, feel free to share. I look forward to getting to know many of you.
Hi, Mary Nice to meet you on DP forum and wish to see you around and pickup what you need on this biggest and informative forum.
Hi surfptc.info. Thank you for the welcome. And best of luck to you in all you do. Hi theresia. I would love to share some experiences with you. I am sure I have plenty. Hi Airforce1. It is great to meet you and I can assure you that I will be around for quite some time. I look forward to getting to know you.
New / old ... old new person here ;-) Welcome MaryB83 The best advice is to provide what you say you can - or don't say you can ... 'cause that'll always bite you in the rear ... You want those who use your services to be seeking YOU out for more work ... not trying to get their money back Many are looking for good writers - and good writers who can be counted on WOWZA we love you.
Welcome to Digital Point forum Marry83, glad to know a freelancer is here, i heard eLance provide high price for freelancer.
Hi Dannyexacta. Nice to meet you. Yes eLance can provide a high price for a freelancer, however you can't get those without some experience on eLance which is rather hard to get. I do have one continuous job through them but it isn't enough for the clients to want to hire me there. I do most of my work through GAF. I have had good experiences and bad experiences with GAF. But there are ways to make more money as a freelancer outside of GAF and I am learning some of those ways a little and hopefully will continue to learn quite a bit more. Hi Julia. Happy to meet you as well. I hope you get to see a lot of me in the forums.
Hi 2Emc. I have learned that advice the hard way. In the beginning I was too afraid to turn down a job for fear that I wouldn't get one. Although I got the job done and the client was happy, I was beyond stressed out. So yes that is one huge piece of advice.
