Ladies and Gentlemen I was just wondering if I could get some help in finding out how my website is doing in the approval process? I know that its a volunteer program and to be patient but I was just curious and couldnt sit back any longer.

What timeframe could one wait for a travel site to be approved?

What could I do to improve the time or help in the process?

    My appreciated

Save A Buck the only one who might, and I stress might, be of help is the editor of the category where you suggested your site.

Try writing a polite note. You may get a polite response.

I've heard rumours of bribes to get in, but wouldn't advise it myself. As I said previously, it takes months if not years to get in nowadays.

    Nonsense.

That a category doesn't have a named editor doesn't mean that nobody does or will ever edit there. A large portion of the work is done by editors from the parent categories plus the 200 odd who can work anywhere they choose.

Very roughly, there are about a hundred times more categories than there are editors so the huge majority don't have named editors. I cleaned up around 15 so called editor-less categories yesterday :).
