Well I got tired of useless forums that no longer really have that many members and or help for a NEWB like myself.

So I did a search and this forum popped at the top of google.

I run a server for a couple sites that I own and am looking for some good resources to help me learn WTH it is that I'm actually doing... lol.

I'm in the learning process for SSH / Linux, it's a whole new world to me at this point.

The sites I run at this time are:
    www.FloridaStreetScene.com (VB based)
www.tech-Maker.com (phpbb based, I hate having to use that junk!)

I've recently been running into a few issues with my server and not knowing exactly how to work the SSH end as well as I need to so I've been dancing around the web trying to find solution here and solution there.

This looks like it might just be the all in one resource I've been after. If you guys don't mind answer some NEWB questions as I'm learning that would be cool.

I see that, I've already found some answers to questions I have.

I think mostly I'll be staying in the server administration area seeing as that's what I most need to learn right now.

I'm liking that section, lots for me to read.

Now I just need a NOOB tutorial on Linux for server administration....

In relation to the fact that I'm just getting into the whole server administration deal here.

What should I be reading that would help a beginner to learn the basics of server administration. Mainly I need to start learning SSH more. That's were I think I need to begin as that's what I have needed to deal with the most lately.

Especially seeing as my server completely crashed last night. There was a hardware failure on my server, the second time this has happened in the last year.

I have to restore my entire setup again, what a pain in the ass! took me forever last time because it took forever to find the commands to do what I needed to do.

but yeah the sites are (if you don't feel like looking at the first post):

FloridaStreetScene.com (I've had this one for some time now. I think it's going on 5 years now).
Tech-Maker.com (new one I figured I should give a shot).
