I'm new and I am a tax planner. I found this site from someone's post on business.gov where I regularly answer questions about taxes. I saw some tax questions here so I thought I would participate. Answering tax questions is often difficult because of the way people ask questions. For instance I am often asked in person - what is the biggest mistake I see people make on their taxes? My answer is that they fail to have a tax plan. Now that may seem self serving and it is but it is also very true. Think about it - have you had a class or course in taxation? You have a partner in life whether you are in business or an employee and it is the IRS or Department of the Treasury or Department of Revenue or Federal Government, etc. This partner is taking a cut of every dime you make. Don't you think you should have a plan for dealing with him and limiting as much as possible how much he is going to take from you? Anyways I will step off my soapbox for now but if you need to get a hold of me you can find me at http://www.1040WealthDesigns.com.
