Hey everyone. I just joined today, but I've occasionally visited these forums for about 3 or 4 months. I have 6 years of web design experience, but have very little experience in marketing. Recently, my job informed my department that we will all be laid off next month and I decided I better get the ball rolling if I want to make it in this business. I know not to expect any "get rich quick" miracles, but I'm a very hard worker, a fast learner and a great listener. I have already learned an awful lot from the wonderful members of this forum and hope to help out in any way I can. Sincerely, Lance
Hi Lance, Welcome Sorry for your job, but endings can be a chance for great beginnings! And if you are ready to work hard, I'm sure you can do anything you decide on doing. Wish you good luck!
HI Wisconsin , nice to have you here, sorry about your job, you did well coming here. DP is great, maybe you can sell here your own templates.
Thanks, everyone. I'm not down about the job loss. I wasn't happy with it anyway. Ungrateful bloodsuckers! Fortunately, it was the kick in the butt I needed to do what I really love...making websites. Now, I just need to learn how to market my skills and let my "future" customers know I exist. Thanks, Lance
Well, welcome You know you can start your own thread : http://forums.digitalpoint.com/forumdisplay.php?f=2 Then everyone can welcome you properly Just click on the 'new thread' button.
Oh my goodness! I just noticed AmeryWeb - that your avatar is from my most fave tv show A super welcome to you! (P.S. that's where my screen name comes from - eg. s(amantha) carter - lol)
Yes, I'm a huge SG-1 fan. Glad to meet others in unlikely places such as DP. Then again, internet marketing is considered "tech" and there's lots of scifi fans in the tech world.
Yeah - have you seen the season 10 finale yet? The last ever SG-1 ep? Have heard they are going to do a few movies - but it's just not the same...
