Wow Bryan going by your stats I'd hardly call that slow!! How long have you been going? We are in our 3rd week. Would you be willing to pass on any tips? Regards Michael
We've had the forums going for about two years; but I have not had alot of time to devote to "growing" the site in the past 8 months or so. Most of the activity is in a few private forums ("playgroups") for mothers that had children around the same time. While the private forums are active, it's not the greatest helper for new membership, because the public forums are fairly slow... so I try to encourage the members that post in the private forums to venture out into the public forums and post as well. LOL I'm just upgraded to vB 3.5 and got a new style and what not. Now I'm going to work on increasing inbound links and new registrations.
Thats Interesting Bryan We have groups for those who are pregnant and due the same month, and those for babies born the same month and they are being really slow to take off while our general pregnancy and forums are going really well.
We tried that awhile back... we ended up combining them into one "expecting" forum and then offering to split off new forums for groups that grew large enough...that way the one forum was busier.
