Hello from Northampton, Massachusetts, USA

    Hi Everyone

    My name is Fred, and I am currently based out of the five college area. I am currently a stay-at-home dad (while I attempt to get some interviews as a web developer/programmer). In the meantime, I have really dove into being a webmaster more than I ever did before. I run a site for one person, I run and maintain a retail site at http://www.mrsaveatons.com/, and I run a weblog that is currently seeing some nice, consistent traffic that grows weekly at .

    My big motivation for becoming successful as a webmaster is primarily to provide a great quality of life for my son, Dylan. He has Cystic Fibrosis, a rare genetic disease that attacks the lungs & digestive systems, as well as most other parts of the body in varying ways. His life span is projected at 30 years. I decided that if we were going to be the best parents we could be, I couldn't let us worry about something like money. So, I'm serious about becoming successful. It means so much to me!

    I have various other domains, but I haven't developed them yet. In the meantime, I focus on my weblog, and learning all sorts of site management techniques, while beefing up my graphic design, marketing, and site building techniques.

    Welcome to DP. I had healthy children, but I ended up being a work at home Dad. I used to always leave my office door open for my children. It also allowed me to become much more involved with their activities. Those were the best of times in my life. Cherish them, these years will be gone soon enough.
