Just wanted to stop by this section to say hi.

I've been building websites since around 1998 (so it's been a while). I look forward to joining in. See you in the other sections.

I tried saying Leicestershire out loud a few times and now my 8 year old is laughing hysterically at me :D

You should tape it and upload it for us.

It's easy though: lester - share
There's a whole syllable that seems to go missing

What I find astounding is that young Jase* appears to actually be from the UK. Sadly most who are vocal about where they are from are telling porkies. Not this time though.
*He's probably not that young, but younger than me :)

Yeah, not sure why but my friends from across the pond seem to elongate it. The best is Leicester. We say "Lester" whereas our USA friends tend to say "lie-chest-er". Not that I'm knocking them - I'm sure I make plenty of stupid town and city pronunciation mistakes for places over there.
Let's not get into that whole UK vs USA spelling thing - I would like to make friends here :)

    Hi Jason!

Always dreamed living in the United Kingdom even though your cars seem to have steering wheel in surpising place.
Although Rowan Atkinson seems to solve that issue driving Mclaren F1 with central steering wheel set-up.

In 1998 I used to install games from 5.25" floppy disks and ran a dial-up BBS on Tornado software.
First internet came to me in 1999 at flawless dialup 9.6kbps (later 14.4kbps) speed, so I had to use download manager to safely download 300kb .JPG :)

And Rotating Netscape Navigator logo while loading page was really stunning..

Heard there are strong entrepreneurship/startup communities and government support programs for innovators and small businesses in the United Kingdom, do you know something on that?
I'm always in search of ways to connect ideas/teams/startups with capital.

    Hi Martin

Funny I always wanted to live in the USA but ended up in Spain for a number of years. I think the grass is always greener ;-)

Yes, there are some incentives for startups here but like anywhere you need to jump through a few hoops to get it. I've got an established business so not fully looked.

I remember that lovely dial-up modem noise!
