Hello from Idaho

Good afternoon!

I chose to join this community after doing a search on for the top forums for discussion of web development on Google. There seemed to be quite a few to chose from so I just reached out the mouse and clicked, and here I am.

I am a Sales Specialist at Home Depot. Currently I work in Appliances and help out in Millwork, soon I believe I will be going permanently to Millwork to sell special order doors and windows.

The reason I am here is that it is time I "really" learned web design and development and quit saying how I want to and, after spending some time going through a book or 2 (or half of a book or 2) moving on to something else.

I am hoping to be able to discuss learning techniques, resources and eventually when I go to build my first site (I already have a project planned) I will be able to bounce some ideas back and forth and get some insight from those of you that know this stuff.

I am 42 years old, single (and plan to stay that way) and have a cat named Princess Leia. Yes, she really does think she is a princess, the verdict is still out....
