Hey everyone... I'm hear to learn and contribute where I can in here... my 'forte' is real estate investing, so if there were a real estate investing topic on here, I'd be much better in offering my personal assistance. Be that as it may, I'm also a student of copywriting and marketing which would probably be more applicable on DP. But as far as the rest of the topics covered..I'm here to learn.

A little about me... I've worked full time as a cop for about 14 years, and delved into real estate investing with some pretty dang good success (14 properties after a bankruptcy with no cash or credit). I'd written a course, book, ebook, and coached others on investing in real estate. The market crashed and I got bumped to night shift, so property management (and fatigue) becaue an issue, so I sold the properties, but didn't lose my tail like a lot of investors did.

And then.... just over a year ago, while on duty, blocking a highway exit ramp due to an accident, I was rear ended by a drunk driver at full speed. Fast forward one year of physical therapy, injections, epidurals, etc... I was finally sent to an outstanding neurosurgeon and had 2 discs replaced in my neck just over a week ago. I will probably get to experience back surgery in the near future as well. The city forced me to 'medically retire' and hopefully by December the 'retirement' income will start (somewhere between 25-50% of my salary..oh, and they also took away our insurance). On the bright side, I did get a nice shiny medal and a plaque. But sarcasm excluded, I'm extremely grateful and lucky that I'm alive and not paralyzed so that my kiddos have a dad and my wife has a husband...some cops (and military members) aren't that lucky!

Beginning to work on a podcast so that I can at least help some people in the Real Estate niche while I'm in bed healing up! If I can be of service to you, don't hesitate to ask, and if you're the 'praying kind' and reading this... please take a short few seconds and have a prayer for me (and my wife and kiddos...the last year has been he!! on them.)

All the best...nice to 'virtually' meet you, and please... don't drink and drive!!

    Cheers,

    SCM

Hey, welcome to digital point, I have always wanted to start an offline business, and I have given it a lot if thinking, eventually I decided to save as much as possible to get started in real estate.
I have few ideas that I want to share about this subject as well.
I hope we can get to talk about it someday.
    cheers
