Hello all, My name is Jad, I'm 29 from Beirut, Lebanon. I came here thinking this was a domain forum only but was happy to find a nice big community of people from various places who talk about many subject from programming to domains to weddings and happy birthdays. A little about me. I studied computer science and graduated in 2002. Worked for a year making .Net software in a hospital for doctors, then moved to start my own business which I registered in 2003. I've been working with 3 buddies developing flash and e-commerce websites, and virtual tours for the local market. My favorite hobbies are scuba diving and fishing. I didn't catch big fish yet. My biggest one was a 2.5 foot parrot fish. I'm planning to fish on a boat though. A friend of mine got a nice 4 foot fish with a live bait by turning of the boat's gas motor and using a battery motor to lessen the noise. ciao
Hey friend, Welcome to Digitalpoint forums , I am kevin, from China , a crystal gift manufacturer Here is a wonderful forum.
Welcome to DP - it's great to see someone from Beirut here. But I hope you don't catch any fish (my sig says it all)
Hello Kerosene, thank you for your welcome and sorry for the late reply. Actually my sister is in an animal shelter/help group called Beta(Beirut for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) http://animals.beirut.com . They have like 200 dogs and cats which they shelter and feed. I did a little sheltering to help them with some cats which they needed a place to stay. I have an extra room in the house which I put little houses and supplies for the cats, nice experience. We went once and to rescue a cat who was stuck in an old building in a rusty non functional elevator. I had to break a wooden door which covered the old rusty elevator but we had fun that day using different tools to open doors and a long clip to catch the cat hiding inside. On another note regarding foods we eat always. I have to say though most people like to eat fish and chicken and its not bad. I'm sure many like sushi too We do support the ethical treatment of animals but at the same time we should enjoy some of nature's delicious foods in quantities that don't harm the animal population.
