So I take it you've just started coding then? Maybe you should go hire someone to help build it or something, as trying to do something complex when you're a total n00b is bad.
    Just my humble 2c though.

You might consider a CMS (content management system) such as Drupal or Joomba. You don't have as much control over the look and feel of your site, but all the difficult coding is done for you. And they are FREE!

I'd get bluehost if I were you. You don't really need a large size as you start out, but bluehost offers 300GB/month in bandwidth which is 3 times the amount offered on asmallorange for 30 dollars. Bluehost costs 7-9 dollars a month depending on how long your plan is. It also offers Fantastico which lets you easily install scripts with no prior webdesign knowlege required. Unless your getting a dedicated server I recommend that you get bluehost. Oh and it offers 300 GB of disk storage. asmallorange offers 4.5 on the $30/month plan. =/ You also might want to hire someone to write the php for you.

Well James, as others have said, I'd look at a content management system for your site. What kinds of videos are you looking to have uploaded to your site? What format will they be in? (.avi .wmv .flv .mpeg .qwt .swf the list goes on...) and how many visitors per month are you looking at having (and how long will they be at your site each day)?
