Hello Everyone!!!

Hello my name is Cindy and I joined the other day. I desperately want to quit my J.O.B. as a secretary (hence name gottaquitdayjob) and work for myself before it kills me. I'm not looking to become a tycoon or guru, all I want is to be able to replace my current income (which isn't very much) and once I can at least do that, I'll be able to really apply myself and take off. What frustrates me is the lack of free time due to my long work hours. I want to transition myself from working for a boss to working for myself so I can pursue Article Marketing/Bum Marketing/Affiliate Marketing and so need direction. Sorry for being so long on my first post, but I just had to do it. I'm glad to be here and hoping I'll be able to pick up ideas/suggestions to help me leave my job as soon as possible. Welcome aboard, Cindy! Glad to have you here! That's the problem when having a boss. My advice to you is brainstorm about your plan. Being a self-employed individual, you can reap better income if you seriously do your job. But take note that, one of it's downside is that it has no fixed and regular income. Familiarize first with what career after you'll resign that you want to pursue.

Hi Cindy,

Glad to hear of any person so interested in internet marketing. Starting out in this business will not be easy. But success is not impossible with persistence.

I too am having a part-time job that requires me to commit daily from 9-6. What's more, I going into university in a couple of months time. I too do not have so much time to spar either. When doing this business, I've learn to spend quality time doing my internet business. Even if it is a few hours, those hours are still considered quality time if you use it efficiently.

Thanks everyone for the warm welcome! I really want to make a go of this as I know in my heart this is what I want to do, but I need to learn how to focus. I'm having difficulty with all the distractions out there so this is something I definetely MUST work on. If I need any assistance, I'm hoping you can all help me out from time to time. Focus has been a real problem for me in the past. What with so many distractions, offers flooding my inbox. I guess things started to improve for me when I stopped listening to the many different gurus telling me to do this and that.
I got to a point where I had enough knowledge and just needed to trust in myself. If you do decide to follow a guru, decide to follow just one and become proficient in the methods they teach before moving on.

There are lots of different ways to make money online but over loading your brain with to many of them will probably get you knowwhere fast.
