Hello - can anyone make a tablet recommendation?

    Hi everyone

My bday is next week, and I'm thinking of getting a tablet for myself and can't decide between a Nexus 7 or going the distance and getting an iPad.

Basically, I want it to sneak away at lunch and do stuff like make posts here, tweet maybe, or proofread/upload a page or two to my website. I wouldn't create graphics on it, but might keep a stockpile of jpgs of stuff I've drawn.

Any thoughts, recommendations, or experiences one way or the other would help me out a lot.

    Thank-you!

Apple iPad has a lot more better features than Nexus 7. But the Nexus 7 is a lot more faster device than the former.
If price is not a matter, then you should definitely go for iPad, as it has better screen resolution, better camera and battery life than Nexus 7.
If you inclined towards iPad, go for it.:)

iPad is so dominant on the market that even if something else comes a long in the near future it still doesnt make it better. Just go for the iPad.

I really cannot recommend a tablet, as I'm not that kind of a user. Although I bought a Creative ZiiO 7" from amazon for a really low price, and it's works fine for exactly what I bought it for - watch movies, listen to music, read e-books (Kindle), and check my mail. I installed Opera browser on it which opens almost every web site. The integrated browser supports youtube. Great sound output. It's not a tablet for everyone as you may experience some issues with it, but I'm quite satisfied of the purhcase I made.

Having ipad in your list, there is no better choice. Alternatively you can try the samsung galaxy tab models

I would go for the iPad. Has a more professional approach and a nicer and smoother interface.
