As in my sig, I sell custom signs and what I am wondering is this. I have read a good deal and what I am gathering is that it is good to have links to my site, this will help my page rank with google etc. Now if someone links to my aite with my address www.enoveltysigns.com then that is good, but if someone on a blog was linking to my site in a artcile about my site and linked the phrase custom street signs and then that continued to happen with others than google would start to consider my site very relevant for those that search custom street sign in SEO organic, correct? Now if that helps, would also improve things even more if what ever phrase is was that linked to my sitewe will use same exmple) lets say custom street sign, if that appeared in my page title. The most basic SEO you can do is get your target words into the page title, description, and H1 tags. Then get some theme targeted links with variations of your keywords back to your page. If your keywords aren't too competitive this will be enough to get you ranking well in Google.
