The name's Matt. I've spent the last 12 years in the Army soon to be medically retired due to a back injury (and other crap). While I'm waiting for that painful process to be over with, I've taken up a hobby of Blogging. I've always enjoyed writing and I figured since I spent my whole career working in the IT field (mostly hardware, SA, and management) that a Blog would keep me busy and to help me brush up on my skills. The purpose of my Blog isn't really to make money, but if I can make a couple dollars here and there then I'm not going to complain.

I found these forums in my many searches of Google for tips and ways to best run my Blog. I've been reading threads here and there for a couple days now and I finally decided to join you. I think I can learn a lot from you all.

As for my Blog, it's currently listed on Blogger, and most likely this weekend I'm going to get it hosted elsewhere and convert it over to WordPress. Blogger was a nice place to start, but I really don't like my URL and some of the limitations of Blogger. The site is a review site about Android Applications and Games... original I know. I've been working on the site for just under two weeks, I just made it live a few days ago and have 9 posts up at the moment, and several others in the works. I'm averaging just under 30 hits a day now, not great but it's better than nothing. My biggest interest here is to learn more SEO and just general ascetic pleasing designs.

    Nice to meet you all!

Well if you are new in blogging you should go with blogger. It's the easiest platform to get easy traffic. As google own blogger. If you new in blogging line and you have no knowledge about HTML (which is on blogger) how can you manage to work php on wordpress or any other hosted platform. Adsense can be easily approved on blogger blog as compare to any other platform. Even i am a quadriplegic patient and currently working with blogger.

Wow, ok...let me clarify, I have been working IT for over 12 years, I know programming languages, HTML and PHP are not issues. And Blogger is ok, but I want more, that's all. And I didn't say I was new to Blogging, just haven't done it in a long time and not for anything other than my own personal entertainment. I have Adwords, Adsense, and Google Affiliates, I know how to use it. You can always learn something, hence why I'm here.
