same to me plz check my thread: does google dance very much? http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=385555
I'm hoping its a dance...I just wish someone could give me answers, maybe in sitemaps at least they can send a message, this is whats going on, stay calm dont stress.
I'm not sure what happened to you guys but my rankings jumped to the top 5 and i'm getting some really nice traffic the last few days .. why I ranked good? -- fresh content and fresh links = top results Cheers, Venetsian
Wouldn't worry too much. This is a regular thing. It has happened with my sites going back and forth. Eventually it should get back to where you started but it will go away again. I even notice this on my blogs too.
Actually had some content digged in last month which also led to bloggers picking it up (one was actually PR 5 blog)...added plenty of new content in June...so I don't know.
Adding regular content is fine - its something everyone should do to keep visitors and the spiders coming back to their sites. Avoid making any changes to your <META> tags, such as the title tags, etc. If your sites were working and ranking well before, then they should still rank well after the update. Foriegn Google sites, such as Google.se as you mentioned don't seem to be as affected during the updates as google.com. Also, from experience, I have noticed that rankings on the various local googles can really vary from country to country. Alex
I wouldnt say that site wides are risky, they key is to look natural with link development. Note that google has a huge database of websites to research, if you do something that is "very different" from the average then you could have some problems. In brief, build links naturally, if you get site wides, dont get too many, its not natural.
One of my sites has pretty much been knocked out by google . A week ago I was getting first page results. I still rank for my site keyword but that is about it. Anybody else feeling the pain.
Still waiting since last Saturday, and still rank on 2nd page for a keyword with 250,000 searches a month, but my site keyword (aka www.xxx.com, the xxx) doesn't even come up...happened to me same time as it did for about everyone, I don't know what to do...its only one site thats effected all my other sites are fine. One actually has moved its way up the ranks over past few weeks to #1 on a very competitive keyword.
my sites always goes on moving some site its comes on 2 page and some time its not even in top 100 i dont make any changes even dont know why it is so fluctuating.
just keep adding new pages, new fresh links, keep updating and dont do any thing dodgey and you should be ok...but yeah ive been thrown into the sandbox for a few urls but crawled back
It seems to be my homepage only that was affected, none of my other url's...so I'm not sure. In fact a page that was created maybe 2 months ago on this domain, hasn't been effected at all. Is there anything that could have happened to only effect one page out of an entire website? This happens to be a very strong home page as well, 6 years old. I'm very confused.
I don’t have google traffic since begin of April. I started to submit my website to some quality directories to get pr strength and back links. I also did some link exchange. Need to wait and see if that helps.
We had good traffic, good page views and time on website... Still doesn't explain why the www.xxx.com, the "xxx" doesn't show the website anymore, but still comes up on second page for a keyword that has over 250,000 searches a month according to overture...
I wouldn't worry, one of my sites that should not be in the top ten went to the #3 spot two days ago and was #2 today. It is just some Google thing. I'm happy for the new temporary position, just wish it wasn't on a Holiday weekend so I could enjoy more traffic. I am sure I will go back down in the SERPs soon. Frankly I would be upset if I don't because that site doesn't belong there and I know that. Give it a week or two and let things settle out. Google is a fickle beast.
