    hi can any one here help me how to change the url of the wordpress based blog

    i want to make a permanent change of my wordpress blog to the new url

    do u mean new url as in a new domain?

    if its just url structure the above way is best

    I think thats what he means.

    You can do it in php my-admin on your cpanel.
    Click on your php-admin,click on the database for your blog,
    Click wp-options.
    Click browse
    Edit siteurl to your new domain name and save.
    Edit home to the installation of your blog EX yourdomain.com/blog/ or yourdomain.com/ or were ever the installation is.

    This should do the job
