Hey, guys, for those who have been at this longer than I have -- i.e. those keeping track of ad network stats (I didn't really notice them until last year) is it common for January CPMs/earnings for various ad networks to fluctuate a lot? I'm noticing some heavy flux with my Tribal Fusion earnings. In the last five days, it's gone from half of what I normally earn to double, then half again, then double again, etc. Compare this to the last 3 months when I was actually paying attention to the numbers, and this month is insanely erratic. Then, compare this to my Fastclick earnings, which is steady and climbing every day, but NO HEAVY FLUX. So according to this pattern, it's just TF that's having the "problems", if that's what it is. So for those who have been monitoring ad network stats for a while, is there something inherent about the beginning of a new year that affects ad network earnings, that makes them unpredictable? Any thoughts? Added: Traffic-wise, I'm only gaining traffic with each day, continuing the trend from the end of last year, and not losing traffic, in case someone asks.
I was just going to post a thread asking the same thing, and I have only been at this 4 months now, December was great on the CPM networks for me, but as soon as January hit everything, even casale, went to 15 cents and under for CPM. Adsense remained stable though, I didnt get accepted to TF so I can't chime in on that one. So yea is this a usual thing for January?
Well, looks like we're the only two wondering about this topic. My CPMs for TF are down to 60-70 cents, which is crap. It's usually $1.50 at the least, which is what it was for 3 days this month.
