Heard Google is going to stop countling links

They would never do this, that is the only way they can determine how valuable content is. The spiders have few ways of determining how accurate an article is to whatever it pertains to, link counting is the best way to do this.

 

If this happens, the only person it will hurt is the spammer. People who have good backlinks will still be clicked on and spam ones will not.

 

not possible to apply,google stand for quality, quality will die if anything like this will happen,

 

i don't see this happening anytime soon but that's just me.

 

It's links that make it the "internet". Links are not going to die out as an important factor.

Which SEo guys? can you give any reference. Seems a vague solution to me.

 

Could they be referring to Google Caffiene? There is a component of that update that plans to use technology for recognizing specific keyword strings on pages to be able to display breaking news faster and more accurately, but that doesn't apply to the VAST majority of search terms.

 

i think that google caffiene update are make the links market less and less count.

Google not counting links???how then would they judge the value of a site? common guys, this will never happen, remember they are trying to give the searcher the best source of information when we do a query..many factors contribute to this, especially backlinks! the more popular your site is, the more backlinks it will have...atleast thats the idea.

 

I think and have heard that they have updated, "Vince" Update and that content does matter more, LSI (latent semantic indexing) can pic up on key words, maybe there is less dominance on anchor text side bar links...

All kinds, they're always updating cache....
