Health related websited sandboxed!

    Hi,

I am new to DP so please bear with me. I have setup a few information based websites in the area of health / medicine. Is it possible that some areas are scrutinized more carefully by google than others. What I mean is my websites (all fairly new) in other domains have picked up better than the health related ones. Is the sandbox criteria more rigorous with some niches and less with others?

Please share some info you might have.

    Thanks

Yes it depends on the keywords of the niche. My experience has been that there are different thresholds based on the number of searches for a specific keyword. For example with the same number and quality of back links (say 1,000) a site term that is searched for 300,000 is less likely to be be sandboxed then a site with a keywords searched for 700,000 a month.

But a very few high quality links will get you out of the box.

    Hi,
I also run a health related site... and it is possible to be de-sandboxed for a day or two, but then sandboxed... again. So don't get your hopes too high when you do get out of it!

So, some related high-PR links get you out of the sandbox? Do you have paying for links in mind or some other way of getting them?

High PR links usually help to get you out of sandbox. To get related niche high PR links, you can do link exchange or buy links.

yes, agree with you, one of my health related site had be sandboxed for a few weeks, after some content construction, google just de-sandboxed. But after some category, rss submission and link exchange, google sandboxed my site again...

So that would imply that link building should go hand in hand with growth in traffic or in other words aggressive link building could lead to sandbox even down the line when the site is mature!
