Health related site - how to monetize

How can I make money on a health site, is it any products that all health interested people would like to buy?

Its a site that covers about 500 different diseases. It also covers healthy food (100 receipes). The buyers are not likely to buy english cook books. Its a non-english site.

 

I know this is in the affiliate section, but what about adsense? I run a health site too, and it covers a huge range subjects - too wide to use affiliates on really unless I wanted to hunt out affils for each article. Adsense will most likely get you a good cpc, 30cents or so.

 

Adsense gets a good cpc on this niche but if you manage sale(s) then it will get you more money.

 

you can find a lot of health related affiliate programs in clickbank.
You can paste clickbank search box and clickbank ads on your site.
You can also paste links of some popular health affiliate products.

For this health subject PPC is probably your best option. Also look into Health/Wellness affiliate programs.

 

Well if it's a foreign language I don't think adsense will pay well.

I'm considering trying affiliates on my site, been looking on clickbank today. The problem is, all the sites seem to be extremely low quality designs, and I wouldnt want to link to them. I'm searching now for "detox", and coming up with this junk:

All the same type of garbage design - pages and pages of rotten content, a million fake testimonials etc. If I cant find some decent affils to try this with I'm going to stick with adsense.

 

You can also try CPA campaigns, Clickbooth and Copeac for example have some health related campaigns. Also you can try an online pharmacy affiliate program and sell meds.

 

I dont want to link out to meds selling places in case it harms my own SEO efforts (linking out to bad neighbourhoods), though I guess I can get around this by using nofollows. I think it makes your site look a bit spammy if you link out to pharms sites though. I tried some google adsense referral things, but they werent displaying properly. I was selecting to only show the specific ad I had selected, but it kept showing others, which were in no way related to my content.

I have a "problem" I also dont want to sell medisin from the pharmacy business. That because I believe that the pharm industry is just a very corrupt cynical industry that I dont want to be affiliated with.
But I will check out the natural or organic treatment sites.

From USA high quality traffic, 30 cents a click.

 

I cant get USA traffic to a non-english site.
