Site is already on the second page in Google for it's main keyword (#15 right now, was #26 last week!!).

I started doing link building but abandoned it for other projects (absolutely no ALN, BMR, or other recently banned blog networks).

Just lite social bookmarking, and blog commenting. Not overly aggressive at all and I believe that's why it's ranking as other similar sites are tanking!
