Hi there, I have inherited an adwords account in my new role and the person before me has used this string in all of the headlines (max 25 characters) for the campaign {KeyWord:UK Teaching Jobs} Can someone please explain what it does? Also are there any other types of strings that people find useful? I have only ever written my headline in, so I see there is alot more to learn. Thanks for your help
That is Dynamic Keyword Insertion - essentially Google will automatically add the keyword form your ad group once a KW is searched. If that KW (or Key Phrase) is too long for the headline then it will show the Headline UK Teaching Jobs instead.
Interesting i never knew that ..... what other strings are for adword setup ?!! if someone can sheer.
{KeyWord:UK Teaching Jobs} UK Teaching Jobs is default word if some one search keyword is meet your adword keyword that keyword will show at there as BOLD .
{KeyWord:UK Teaching Jobs} If someone search UK jobs UK jobs would be the title If they search find me UK Teaching Jobs that pay well UK Teaching Jobs would show because find me UK Teaching Jobs that pay well is to long so it goes to yoru default.
There are different variations, i.e.: {KeyWord} = Capitalisation Of Different Words {keyword} = all words in lower case {KEYWORD} = CAPITALISATION OF ALL LETTERS
Thanks for your help on this. So I take it that this is a good thing to do as it will match what the searcher has put in and hopefully that will point the users eyes to our ad (if other copy is relevant of course) Much appreciated!!!
No probs - it does work, but always best to test - have a couple of ad variations running at the same time...
