I have the same H1 and the same meta-keywords on multiple pages bercause I have an article(course) that it is extended on many pages. The H1 is the title of the course. How this influence seo?
Same Title. Google say "NO" to it. Google love changes. Google is too hungry for new food in your website. Feed him the food and google will respect you.
If u have same H1 tag than there is a chances that google will put your pages in supplemental results. it will be batter that u use some related title or just write continue or just start other without no header.
There are of course legitimate uses of repeated H# tags so I wouldn't be too concerned. For example, a tutorial split over multiple pages may include the tutorial title on every page: - "How to paint widgets - part 1" - "How to paint widgets - part 2" As long as the content is different on each page I wouldn't worry about it too much. In terms of SEO though, it would be better to alter your titles slightly to add page specific keywords. So for example: - "Choosing the right colour for your widgets" - "Choosing the right paint brush to paint your widgets" MG
Use of the H1 Tag - Search Engine Optimization Although there are many uses of the <H1> tags, the issue is not it's use but how it is related to the other "SEO" tags. If you place the following format on each of your courses, you will be fine with all search engines. <title>The first course Title by My Company</title> <meta name="description" content="The first course Title is offered by My Company to train you on Course Overview" /> <meta name="keywords" CONTENT="The first course title, Course Overview, My Company" /> Then <h1>The first course title</h1> <h2>Course Overview</h2> <h2>Chapter 1 Title</h2> <h3>Heading 1</h3> <h3>Heading 2</h3> <h2>Chapter 2 Title</h2> <h2>Chapter 3 Title</h2> By using the above formats, all search engines will index every course as seperate content. Note: I recommend that you still use the <meta name="keywords" tag because of the education aspect of this. Many of the colleges are implementing a internal "Enterprise Search" program and without using the <meta name="keywords", your work will be hard to find in their environment. So plan ahead. And, don't forget to place "SEOed links" back to your web site on each page using the correct SEO format. <a href="http://www.my-site.com/" title="The first course Title by My Company">The first course Title</a> by My Company Dallas Texas ( TX ) <br />The first course Title is offered by My Company to train you on Course Overview. Then add the Previous two course links and the Next two course links to it. This is just good SEO advertising and self promotion.
