Header for Poker site - $50 contest

I'm amazed at the quality of work in this forum and I don't know if I've got the price right but here goes.

I need a header and matching buttons for my site love-texas-holdem.com. Only restrictions are: No pictures of poker chips or fanned out cards or maps of Texas. The rest is up to you. If you happen to know a bit about SBI installations I might pay extra for help with that.

OK guys thanks for your input so far. As for time scale I don't want it to drag on but I'm hoping to get something I really like. I'll say next weekend, 21st of October as I feel if I don't have it by then I probably won't get it.

So far I like Jboo14's although I'd prefer dark blue to black and I don't like the font. I like what neilparnham has done by putting it in the page but definitely not green and no dice please!

Any more entries most welcome.

 

Maybe I'm being a bit too fussy with my requirements, so I've had a rethink and I will consider designs using cards or chips if you want, as long as you are a bit creative with them.

If however you simply cut and paste free images and add a bit text you will not win, I can do that myself.

Preferred color scheme is dark blue and red, but you might come up with something better.

Thanks again for your efforts, here's where I am so far:

Best elements:-
Logo - The diamonds/spades/hearts/clubs logo by jboo14 (Excellent)
Font - Neil P's latest entry (gold block writing)
Overall page design - Neil again...but cut and paste cards/chips take away from overall effect, also color not what I'm looking for.

Remember if you want to use card or chips they need to be abstract in some way or original designs.

So can I change the dimensions of the header to make it bigger as neil has done? I just went with the size you specified, but I can make it bigger if you would like. I'll also change font/background color soon and post an update
