Contest Header designed for Marketing Blog - $25

It's pretty self explanatory. I am looking for a header image for a marketing blog.

I want it to look professional, I want it to blend well with the blue colors, and I would like it to have some sort of image within acting as a logo... but it is really a header with a logo already inside... if that makes sense.

Site name is: Junior's Marketing Strategies

some ideas might be:

-the name 'Junior's' in some hand written text or nice signature text... something like that. The other text in a good professional text that looks nice.

-the logo image on the left or right doesn't really matter as long as it looks good, but I would expect that on the left would look best... we'll see.

I will set a time limit on this contest of 2 days. I do reserve the right to close it early if someone blow me away with a design, however, and I will be online all day to provide feedback.

Payment will be $25 to paypal account after winner is decided.

 

For the record, I am doing some other mods to the site as well so if you see that small strip accross the top of the site, IGNORE THAT. I may have it fixed before you read this so if it is gone when you check it... great.... but when you are designing, keep in mind that the 'HEADER' spot that is gray right now will be butted up against the top of the page.

nunulka - This not what I am after here. I don't want a picture of a person because it will immediately be dis-credited since it isn't the blog owner. The Fonts are OK, but definitely need to be bigger

uanl_82 - Very nice. I like the little logo image with the initials in it on the left... that looks good. I love the background design but my only problem is if I take this and place it in that spot where the big ugly gray box is right now, there will be definite lines in it. I may be able to remedy the two different shades of blue as long as the right edge is all the same and the left edge is all the same. I would like to leave this available as I can see some ideas from it and tweaking the theme around the header but will wait for more entries. Overall... good job.

puttu - I would like "Juniors" to have the apostrophe.. "Junior's" Also I would prefer it in some sort of handwritten text or signature text. I like how it is separated from the rest but I don't want it to feel like a company but rather a personal blog about marketing. the "Marketing Strategies" is pretty good but I am really digging that that last entry text with the flash on the last letter. The arrow isn't doing it for me either. blends perfectly.

Not to everyone..... this can have background designs that are different shades. Not necessary, but if it looks nice, I can change the right or left side so that it blends together. Just make sure the whole right or left edge is the same so that it can be blended well.

@uanl_82 - sorry, somehow I missed that you updated your post. That looks very nice. One other thing that is popping into my head is that JMS tag on the left is rounded on 2 corners and flat on the other two. It would be perfect if this header went all the way across but since it is being placed between two color images, it will look funny floating there in the middle. Maybe move it over a bit and make all 4 corners round? you are the designer, whatever looks nice... I'm just thinking out loud here.

@Illidan_000 - No worries, contest is open for two days unless someone blows me away with a copy. In that event, I will send out a "last call" or something to give people working already a chance. best to speak up like you did though. Looking forward to what you have.

@nunulka - much better. something doesn't look right though... doesn't look centered well.

@puttu - Much better. I like it. I will decide on the winner. In the meantime, if you have any other ideas, I'm open to all entries...

 

What isnt centered? The Monogram or the site name to the header?

@Jerlene.net - I am not trying to sound rude but that is way off. The colors don't match up right and the little shadow people are fuzzy with white edges. The quality really doesn't look good.

@Natali77 - That's a nice looking header. I REALLY like the little logo section squared with the initials and small yellow background. I think it looks pretty cool. My only concern with this as a whole is that although the whole image is centered, it looks like more stuff on the left side. maybe the "name" should be moved over a bit and bigger. If you take a "snapshot" of the site and place the header in the snapshot, I think you'll see what I mean. Overall, great job.

apparently I did miss them. I like them, they are pretty nice. I am looking for that small logo within the header that acts as a logo or some sorts. See my original post for more details.
