I'll just let people make their own mistakes, I don't want to argue about it anymore.

uhm...sorry to burst your bubble. People do that ever since, at least with amazon. Do a google search and see whats coming up on PPC.

I am having PPC for years already, incl. campaigns i had in USA..never had ONE complaint. My account is pretty much "monitored" since i get trade-mark violations sometimes...like "sony" or "ibook" (as described in my book).

If "amazon" would be a trademarked term i would certainly heard that LONG ago. Besides, amazon works and supports affiliates...mentioning their URL would be forbidden in Adwords is just an absurd idea !

uhm..whatever you say. I just did a search on US and DE amazon developer connection. It's the general consense that it is not against TOS, i say it again: many, many do this for years already.

I read one blog-reply where someone said "its ok"...but just the usual applies that only ONE ad with the very same display-ID is permittable, the higher paying one. I have workarounds described in my book. I DO use my own pages (see book) for the few remaining products where a keyword-competitor is on adwords already.

Regarding trademarked terms again: If "amazon" were a trademarked term i would have gotten a warning LONG ago. I get warnings everytime i upload a new bunch on Adwords, but "amazon" was never one of the offending terms.

The net is full also with books about adwords and amazon, as well as AMAZON ITSELF writes and recommends marketing methods for their partners and recommends PPC, especially adwords.

I see your point, because pointing out a VALID violation of TOS is good thing, to protect people and help them avoid getting problems.

However in your case i think you desperately steer around to find something or read something between the lines which is not there.

I know adwords TOS pretty well, all about redirecting pages and similiar blackhat-methods like they're often used when people redirect or cloak to cloned click-bank sites ans similiar.

You would need to point out the explicit section in the TOS and show us that erveryday PPC w/ amazon would be against their TOS and what section of the TOS would apply there. Note that nothing redirects, falsely misleads or any other "shady" practice is used.
