I am not sure myself if this works but I have heard others say that if you report him to his host, they should shut down his site.

But if you do report him, make sure you have proper proof and documentation so you are not wasting your time and so they take you seriously.

You could even go one step further and have a letter drafted. Make it very professional and legal sounding. Just make sure your email to them is not weak.

ON a side note, this is what always gets me when I see requests on free lance sites for people to clone other sites. I mean "really !"

I think sachin410 has the best idea..

Show the scraper how things really work in the long run..

If I were in this situation. I think for sure, I would take sachin410 up on his offer and make a nice blog post on that awesome looking and most likely high ranking blog.. See how much the scraper likes his site and name in google lights then!!!

Lmao... sachin410, I love that blog. Is that yours? I have not laughed quite that hard for a while... love it.. especially that 10 sub directory campaign.. lol

Unfortunately there is not much you can do except contact his host and hope that the host is reputable and will shut down his site for copyright infringement. Legally, you could take him to court but it will cost you a lot of money and there is no guarantee you will win. I would try contacting him and let him know you are on to him and maybe you can scare him a bit. Besides that, you can only try to ruin his rep but just be careful it does not backfire and cause people to turn on you thinking you are a bad competitor. It is for sure the sad part of the Internet. Good luck and I hope you can find some resolution to this problem.

I would suggest posting this on website review on www.webhostingtalk.com as it has a much larger hosting influence then DP does.

You should file a DMCA complaint (provided the site is hosted in the US) with his host, Google, Yahoo, and other major SE. I'm also assuming the site makes money through referrals, so you could also consider contacting the companies he is a referral partner with.

    Hi,

I would just like to inform everyone, that this is the new owner of www.WebHostCashBack.com and that I am in no way associated with the previous owner. I Just bought the domain about a month ago and when I did some exterior link research, Google picked up this thread.

My site is brand new and I spent quite some time trying to make it as original as possible. Please have a look and judge for yourself.
