You have a mastercard debit card of HDFC? How exactly are you planning to use it? And what do you mean by using the card "Free" of cost?

The HDFC Netsafe is free to use. I am not sure about the Credit back system.

    Best Regards,
    Kulwinder.

Netsafe is supported by Visa. Since you do not know exact exchange rate, you make a card of a larger amount say Rs 2000, only 1900 is used, Rs 100 is credited back after 35 days.

You can make a payment online by using an HDFC Bank, debit card. In this case, the payment made online, by using this mastercard debit card, gets deducted from your bank account, directly. Now, if you use an HDFC Bank credit card, having a logo of Master card, and in this case, if you are making an online payment using his HDFC credit card, the money gets deducted but remains as an outstanding amount. You have to then make the neccessary outstanding paymens at the end of each month.Debit card facilitates payment made from your actual balance payment well as payments made using a credit card is considered as payment made on credits.

I hope my explaination has helped you so far?

ok so what i have understood from that para is this:

    1. i can still use my Mastercard debit card free of cost to generate VCC cards.
    2. but i will have to make a payment at the end of each month just as if i am using a real credit card
    3. that payment will be made from my Savings bank account manually. it is not automatic

    am i right?

    No.. you are absolutely wrong...

    1. You need a VISA card to generate VCC.
    2. Money is deducted from your account in real time.. if you have money in account then you can create vcc.. nothing like credit card in it.
    3. It is all automatic.. no manual payments.

    :D

you donot need to have a Debit Card to generate HDFC Netsafe Cards (VCC).
All you need it an HDFC account along with Netbanking enabled :)
Then you have to visit the HDFC site and register for HDFC Netsafe.. and then you can make HDFC Netsafe Cards (VCC). The Amount you will assign to a card will be deducted from your account instantly (automatically). HDFC Netsafe card acts like Online Debit Card, not to be used more then the account specified.

    Hope this clears your doubts.

    Best Regards,
    Kulwinder.

I dont think the rest can be used, but you will get the unused amount credited back to your account.

Okay, I am sorry I didnt really read it.
So now if you wanna make Netsafe cards, you definately need a VISA Debit/Credit Card. Or else you can buy a VCC for the same purpose. Many DP Members sell VCCs, I would recomend Arvind_Srivastava as I bought mine from him.

    Hope it helps.
    Best Regards,
    Kulwinder.

Using MasterCard Debit of HDFC = Free
NetSafe registration = Free(you need netbanking access though)
Every service in netsafe = free

Thats what you wanted to ask?

netbanking has nothing to do with netsafe cards... You can register for Netsafe cards without having netbanking activated.

Just make sure you got Visa card.. Mastercards wont be accepted.
