This is incorrect. Go to your hdfc branch talk to your relationship manager. It is not a bank's prerogative whether it supports or not. No bank can decline a receiving fund. Specific to paypal - it works with all banks.

I think there is some problem with you.
But I use HDFC and it works smoothly. Always got money on time from PP.

any bank that participates in NEFT will support PayPal... it is all about NEFT and not PP.. and HDFC is a leading private sector bank.. i dont purchase the point...

I am using HDFc bank since I have PayPal account and till date I dun had any issues with them. May be its an issue with the withdrawal amount as $20 seems to be too low. Call PayPal and confirm with them for instant answer.

    Thanks

Doesn't matters if its $20. Even if its $10 you will get it in your account.

Give HDFC the transaction details, date, amount etc. and talk to them. Talk directly to your branch executives. May be your account number you entered in Paypal is wrong. Is this your first withdrawal?

HDFC has stopped working for me since 6 months. Whatever I tried to withdraw, it all got reversed back to PayPal.

So, may be, there is some issues from HDFC side. I never tried to enquire, since I signed up with Citibank and SBI.

I have been using HDFC for PayPal transfers for > 9 months now I have never had any problem from HDFC side. Though if you ask the customer care etc. they'll say they don't support PayPal ->>>> for the very simple reason that they don't even know what PayPal actually is.

Talk it out with PayPal customer support and the shortest and surest solution would be to open account in some other bank and then try.
