hdfc debitcard cannot be linked

    HI DP members i m from india and have a hdfc debit card when i tried to link to paypal its not linked.Its giving an error the number is incorrect.It has a mastercard logo on it.Should i apply for visa card?
    Hope for ur positive reply..

    create a netsafe account, and from there you can create as many VCC as u want to verify your paypal account, the amount will be debited from your HDFC bank balance.

    Thanks for ur reply but there are many things to which i need 2 buy online and there vcc doesnt work.What should i do??
    like buying a domain and registering on a site...

    Have you been able to successfully link a HDFC netsafe card (generated from debit card) for paying someone/some service (and not for verifying purpose only)? If yes which HDFC bank debit card you have- master card or Visa?

    You need to have Credit Card linked and verified. That is the one way Indians can verify.

    What error it is showing? Address error or something else? Are you adding correct address?

    Why dont you follow Paypal policies,As Paypal clearly stated from 2010 that debit cards will not work.You only can use credit cards.Better go for Credit card and enjoy using Paypal :)

    just deposit 20k in fixed deposit and get a credit card. debit cards are not worth it.

    You need not to link anything. Simply make a vcc and use it as a credit card to buy anything from any site.

    Make sure you know how a vcc works.

    No. Indian Paypal account will not support DebitCard.

    You can't use Debit Cards or Netsafe card to verify the PayPal. You should have a Credit Card.

    A netsafe card still works well in verifying a paypal account. One friend did it today only. :)

    Some people saying it's not working and you are saying it's working. What will be difference between those two a/c or cards? Is there any difference in various card schemes or it is same for all cards issued by HDFC ?
