HDD data recovery

    can anyone tell my a good software which can recover data from formatted HDD. i have installed mac and while installation something went wrong and it deleted my rest of all other drives on HDD then it showed me my HDD as bad and i had to recreate all partitions . is there any chance of getting that data back????
    i have used certain softwares they are showing me the files on my HDD but they are not capable of retrieving those :(

    so if anyone can suggest me some software which can get data please dos o...

    I used http://www.recovermyfiles.com/ when I lost my hard drive and it worked a treat.

    If you are recovering music and video files too, I'd do them separate as they take a long time to get back if you have a lot of them. Photos and documents are quick enough but my mp3 collection took about 24 hours to recover (on an old dog of a pc) :D

    Did you try the trial version? (hopefully)

    You need two hard drives to recover data, one to run the software and the one that needs to be recovered from. If you are running the software from the hard drive that was formatted, it won't work.

    I'm sure it mentions that in the instructions.

    Other than that, try looking on downloads.com for data recovery. You'll be able to get something that will do the job.
