HD DVD The Next BETA???

According to toshiba the answer to that question is "probably", according to a news story I just read they are discontinuing production of HD dvd recorders and players:

So if you are going to best buy to pick up an hd dvd player, you may want to think twice!

 

Actually they are going to stop selling them soon, once the current stock of HD players runs out.
