HD-DVD, HDTV, Blue-ray...what gives?!

So what the heck is going on with all this high-def stuff?

Will an HDTV support an HD-DVD, or can someone provide an explanation for everything or an article about all this crap?

I'm sure that you can find something on wiki fairly easyily, i would have a look for you, but it seems pointless because i can't post a link on DP yet.

Basically you get yourself a HD TV as well as HD DVD, then find a metal wire hanger, stick it into your TV instead of an areal and enjoy...

 

I just bought a big hdtv and I was ready to put some money in a hddvd.blu-ray player, but regular DVDs using a progressive scan DVD player look amazing.
My point is...don't spend your money on HD-DVD/Blu Ray players just yet. Wait until one of them wins the HD battle, at least
