Hi! I don't expect any international members to know about this. Australia is getting HD tv with various channels advertising ..like for example channel 10 is advertising dec 16th.. My mum heard on radio (talkback) that all free to air tv is shutting down and we'll only get digital from end jan next year. I heard approx a year ago,that becuase HD tv wasn't catching on as quickly as they thought it would,the "switch off" wasn't going to happen until 2010 or 2012 or something.. So what have you heard? what do you think about HD tv? When is it coming? thanks, Arcanus note to mods; I did a search and nothing come up relating to digital tv australia..
I have no idea when it will be mandatory, I've already been using it for ages with a hd tv tuner on my PC and a set top box.

I bought a crappy $79 set top box back in when i was on gold coast (about 2004) at aldi..actually i correct myself it was prolly woollies..too bad its dropped behind the tv..not that we plugged in when we moved here hahahaha.. edit:terminator,your webmaster link isn't working..i tried it -database error..
