I thought i'd post this here too. I'm going to Maui in a few weeks and I have no idea what to expect or do. I'll take any travel/vacation tips you have. :D

Take some swimming trunks....hehe...on second thoughts, why bother! :D

Just chill out - the pacific is wonderful - one day you should try further south like Tonga, Rarotonga.

    Have fun!

I've never been to Maui, but I've been to Kauai 3 times and Oahu 2 times. But I imagine it's not that much different. You can pretty much just go and do whatever you feel like when you get there. :)

I live on Oahu. Which part of Maui are you going to stay on? There are a few "must sees" on Maui. First is Haleakala. Drive up and then take a hike to the top of the mountain. It's beautiful there. Sunrise and sunset are especially beautiful. You'll also want to take the road to Hana on the East side of the island. Snorkeling or scuba diving at Molokini (a small island just off Maui) is beautiful. That's probably the best place to snorkel/scuba in Hawaii.

If you golf, there are tons of great golf courses. Kapalua is where the Mercedes Championship is held. The 3 Wailea courses are really nice, too.
