Having trouble with SEO

I run a vBulletin board but so far I have been stuck with every single thing related to SEO. I don't know how to optimize my VB board so that pages show up and I have no clue what to do to get members, and I think that the SEO is the problem.

Aside from vBSEO which is way too expensive for me at the moment, are there any tips or tricks I could find on improving SEO? I have no idea what a robots.txt or .htaccess is.

 

vbseo is the way to go and yes, its expensive. you have to even pay more if you want to remove the footer link which sux. btw, vbulletin has a good community forum and vbulletin seo is discussed there often. you might wanna take a look at the forum

If you want to understand SEO I suggest you do a search for "SEO MADE EASY BRAD CALLEN" - you will find lots of free downloads of this 90 page ebook.

After you've read that you will have loads of ideas!

there are "zoints SEO" which is free and few other plugins which you can search for. i heard few people using it but not realy very familiar with zoints SEO. you might wanna take a look and do search research
