Having Trouble with My Google Analytics Tracking Code

Hi,

I have been trying to verify my site with google and I have tried a the different options that google list to get verified, but every time I "verify now", It comes back "failed." I am so frustrated with this...I am not that technically inclined, but the process seemed simple enough...I am not sure what to tell you guys here to help me out, but if you have any suggestions they would be greatly appreciated.

where are you placing the code ?

 

the code should be placed on every page you want it to track just before the </body> html tag
if you use something like wordpress you can place it in the footer to cover every page

 

Go to the header.php

Place the code exactly above </head>

This will work for sure..

delete the previously code then make one new and put it in right space of you dashboard of you administrator panel
