Having trouble installing wordpress on my domain!?

Okay so i managed to install wordpress on my domain except the problem was that it was http://example.com instead of http://www.example.com. I wanted the www. because all my other sites are formatted that way and just makes it easier for myself when linking.
My first step was to delete the wordpress folder, then i deleted my folder, then i deleted my domain. I went to re-install it by using the "www." version of the add on domain. When i went to wordpress on it says
"The installation can not be completed:

    - This directory already exists or the directory field is empty
    - No valid directory name provided.

Click on the browser's Back button to fix reported errors."

What is going on, I've tried everything, including deleteing any files associated with the old domain!?

You should go to Settings - General and write there www at WordPress address (URL) and site url if site and wordpress is the same.

You must upload your files to the non-www folder exactly what you did in your first installation. You might see a "www" folder under "public_html" or "example.com" but in fact there is no such a folder.

After uploading all the files, find the file called ".htaccess". on the root. If you can't find a .htaccess file, create a file and name it as .htaccess. Do not forget to add . (dot sign)
You should add a redirection rules to your .htaccess file to access your site only via www version. There are several types of redirects depending on what you need. It would be best for you to search, learn and write your .htaccess by yourself. Try to search "redirect www htaccess" on google.

Are you trying to install from fantastico? Are you using cPanel? If yes unistall WP from fantastico first - then reinstall.

After installing go to settings - general and type the WWW there.

Also i don't understand why i have to uninstall wordpress, it's pretty stupid from a development persepetive, especially since i deleted ALL files and folders to do with my old domain and clicked on the remove site option from the fantastico.

you must submit a ticket at your hosting provider.

Yes. Do the same as your first installation then add a 301 redirect rule to your htaccess.
You could install wordpress. Your problem was that you don't know how to accesses your site only with www prefix.

Hey Bro, i did the same
then i just contact Help Support to do that, just 5-10 minutes
Then ask them how to do that, next time you can do by yourself
If the hosting CS don't want to help just said you'll ask to refund..

Just ask the CS, Service Man
