I downloaded phpbb3, un-rar'd it, and I uploaded the phpbb3 folder to the public_html folder, and I am not sure what to do now, I don't get how to install it, I tried going to www.mynewforumsite.com/phpbb3 but I get a page cannot be displayed, what gives? Can anyone help me?
To install your forum, you need to enter the following into your browser: http://www.yourdomain.com/phpBB3/install/ Replace yourdomain.com with your domain name and "phpBB3" with the name you picked.
I've installed this once before. If I remember correctly, you will need to edit the config.php file with you Database information before you install.
