Does having the word best in a ad title usually improve ctr?

How can you have the word "best" in a Google ad when Google forbids the use of superlatives? I realize that Google will suspend this rule in some cases, but I don't believe very often.

Good tip, instead of "best" try "superb". :)

But if "best" is allowed then best is a better choice?

Best is allowed for review sites I talked with Google reps, so if this is the case, using the word Best is still not a good choice?

You can only use "#1", "best", etc. if you can verify it by a trusted third party.

The problem with words like best, superb, etc is the inevitable question that will spring to Google's mind or anyone else's for that matter, i.e. Who says so?
The impression is hype and no one's going to believe you.
In any case, an effective ad will, as it were, talk journalese, i.e. third person objective reporting instead of self-serving/self-congratulatory phrases.

There are usually better ways to promote than bragging. Try evoke interest or emotion in your Ad, write to capture attention...

Of if you do use it, try to give proof.
