Having Problems with Direct Advertising Sales

I’m looking for some advice on direct advertising sales. I’m not sure what the issue is…traffic, pricing, not a hard enough sales pitch, etc… Can both webmasters and advertisers take a look and let me know what you think is off the mark?

Pop up is enough to make a lot of people click away.
    Rates way too high.
20 bucks for an email to 400?
    Geesh....

your site isnt too bad, the pop up is ok but a bit annoying... i would suggest using something like buysellads or some other network like that where you can sell direct ads, maybe reduce your pricing for this month, January sale, slash everything by 50%, use social networks i.e facebook, twitter to advertise you have made the price cheaper, get some long term paying customers, also... i would suggest maybe just spend 1 hour per day, emailing company's offering them the ads, personally email a professional sales template, adding a bit of a customised message to suit there product to perspective advertising clients, look at other blogs in niche and who advertises with them. good luck

If you are struggling then a good idea is to join a network.

They take a small cut of the sale but 75% of something is better than 100% of nothing.

You can also use them to judge the pricing structure of your ads.

Sites like http://puxee.com are a good place to start!
